Structure and time

Structure and time

When it comes to pricing your products or services, it can be a very emotive subject. I tend to use a simple equation: how much do you need to earn and how many things do you have time to do?

It’s also important to get away from the ‘time for money’ trap. It’s more than an hour of your time. For training/behaviour I advise looking at programmes and for dog walking/grooming regular slots.

Ongoing support

Ongoing support

There will be clients who believe in quick fixes or instant results, so it is important that we help educate them to see that long term support is the key and why our ongoing success programmes work.

For more in-depth learning on creating programmes and the consultation process please contact Helen for details of her Distinctive Dog Trainer Mastermind and accreditation.

Programmes

Programmes

Providing programmes is not only important to getting ongoing results with your clients but will enable you to have a more consistent income. We will be looking at why programmes are so important and why we should be providing them for our clients.

Finding your ideal client

Finding your ideal client

We can’t help every pet owner and it’s important to remember that we need boundaries. These resources create the perfect baseline to finding or keeping that ideal client so you get the best results and enjoy the work you do!

Pricing Mindset

Pricing Mindset

Sometimes we can feel icky or guilty when it comes to discussing our prices. In this resource we will be looking at some of the reasons we find it a challenge to sell and why sometimes the client says no. It’s actually ok to not sell every time and not all your potential clients will be right for you.

Your message and building trust

Your message and building trust

Sadly when it comes to pricing one reason potential clients are not ready to buy is because they don’t understand your message, fail to see the results or simply have not been on a long enough journey. Marketing is many touch points over a period of time. Like a relationship it just doesn’t happen overnight. People barely buy straight away unless it’s on impulse or a desperate need.

Sometimes it can be a real challenge to know what to write about, so this resource includes some files to help you do just that. I like to have general themed posts throughout the week – these can be for example tip posts or success stories based around my cases.

Introduction to content marketing

Introduction to content marketing

Writing to sell is very different to how we would write a book or a report to our clients. But it’s important that are words have meaning.

Add value and help take the pet owner on a journey; this journey needs to be relatable, reflective, understanding the issues they are going through. The way you structure your content and the headings help create an impact and convince people to spend a few minutes of their time to read what you time to say.

This all builds trust – leading to you being to help more pet owners.

One to one Zoom Skype or telephone training

One to one Zoom Skype or telephone training

Doing online consultations and programmes is a great way to help pet owners all over the world. But it’s important not to devalue your hard work by reducing prices or sugar coating the deal with extra incentives. Remember if you are getting similar or the same results you should be charging the same amount.

Pricing

Pricing

COMING SOON

Being confident with your pricing means that you can charge a premium/higher price without feeling guilty.

The easiest way to earn more money and get more time back is by raising your prices. I’ve put together a selection of files to help you be more confident about your prices and why you should never have to worry about them again. You will also be confident that you can clearly explain the value of your services;  the positive outcomes and those life changing results!

Dealing with challenging clients

Dealing with challenging clients

Running a business has it’s ups and downs. One day you may have the best client in the world, the next one that never seems satisfied or doesn’t implement what you’ve asked.

You need to remember it’s your business, your rules and having detailed terms and conditions and boundaries at the start is most important. That way if things start to go wrong you are 100% prepared.

We often want to please everyone, but this is not always possible and at times we will slip up. But it’s how we deal with these slip ups that’s important.

Communication is the key. Open, honest and transparent.

How to create engaging content

How to create engaging content

If you want to attract new clients, your content needs to be be engaging to your prospective clients.

Creating engaging content helps you stand out from the crowd and create trust with your prospective clients. This includes not only educating and supporting them but creating good case studies and stories. Story telling is a powerful thing, allowing the client to see you understand what it is like to walk in their shoes, always making them the hero of your story.

Facebook groups

Facebook groups are a powerful way to create an engaging community. To build trust and a sense of belonging.

You can create your own Facebook groups or you can join others, either way if you don’t produce engaging content or fail to network in your chosen groups, you will get very little, if no benefits. Whilst creating your own community may not be for everyone there is no reason who you can’t join and benefit from others.
