The Dog’s Kitchen is a canine nutrition consultancy offering evidence-based, individually tailored diet support to help dogs thrive. Founded by Jo Heuston, DipCN (iPET), APNC Associate Member, the practice focuses on the connection between gut health, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing.
Each consultation is designed to meet the dog where they are whether that’s a life-stage review, support for a clinical diagnosis, or a deeper exploration of the gut–behaviour link through microbiome testing and analysis. Jo combines data-driven formulation using FEDIAF-aligned standards with a mindful, welfare-led approach, supporting guardians to feed with confidence and understanding. Her work bridges science and compassion, helping dogs with sensitivities, anxiety, and complex health needs find balance through nutrition.
